Party time, Carnie time

I am sorry that I have been so quiet for a week but I have been crazy busy finishing up my last week of classes and my final school project, which I am about to share with you. It turned out great and was a lot of work. I am just glad it is over...

I am going to school for Event Management and the last class we need to take before graduating is our Event Management class, that is a hands on class. Normally the class plans the career fair but during the summer there is no career fair so instead we planned an old time carnival. It was fun to plan and even more fun to actually make happen.

There was a side show act that the entertainment department organized. It turned out well and got a lot of peoples' attention. We had a bearded lady, a siren of the sea, and a fortune teller. It was a lot of fun and everyone looked great, but there's more.

There were carnie games... which students played and won tickets that they could use towards prizes.

I manned the fish bowl game with another classmate from the entertainment department. Students stood behind the line and tried to make the ping pong balls into the fish bowls... of course college students associated this game with beer pong. But whatever their association with the game it was a great hit. We had students who kept returning to play over and over.  We had other games as well...

We offered carnie themed food... which I did not get to taste much of, the fall back of being the planner. But we heard great things about it.

I apologize about the foggy looking photos but it was so humid on this day and my lens kept fogging up. Blah : /

I was a part of the decor group and I think the decorations turned out great! It really was a lot of hard work. We ended up changing things around a bit due to the wonderful Florida humidity. By the time the event started I was hot and sweaty not flattering at all and I was exhausted. And I was ready for a nap.

The two gorgeous people above were our classes' main leads. They were absolutely wonderful and very helpful. A big thank you goes out to them!

We were all worried about rain but thankfully it decided to hold off until our event ended. How nice of it to wait. Everyone's hard work really paid off. The event was a success. We had a lot of people stop by in between classes to enjoy games, food, and our side show.

I worked with a fantastic group of fellow classmates on decor. This group of people busted their asses for 6 weeks and it most definitely paid off. A thank you goes out to all of them. It was a lot of fun.

*My Thoughts*
Not everyone gets to see what I do, all of the hard work that I put in to school. I hope this post shows everyone just how much work I actually do.
I love what I do and I am glad that school is finally coming to an end so I can eventually do this full time.
I am very grateful for all of the hard work that the entire class put into this event. A thank you goes out to our Professor as well, who was there through it all and helped us stay on task.
A thank you also goes out to my parents for never giving up or losing faith in me.
