Busy Bee

It has been quite hectic around here for the past couple of weeks. I have been working on a project. I am co-helping plan and host a friend's baby shower. It has been one heck of an experience, but one that I have enjoyed ever so much. I am grateful that she is allowing me to use her shower as a genie pig, so to speak, and put it in my portfolio. 

This week I have been working on gathering up the items we will need along with making some of the decorations. Creating the idea was easy putting it together however was the hard part. I spent a good couple of hours drawing up, cutting out and assembling the sailboats and the food tags. I was hunched over my desk like a little old woman with my back starting to hurt. I will say though that it has been fun creating these things for the mommy's shower. 

Today I was busy at my new desk working on my Silhouette Cameo cutting machine which I received for Christmas. It was fun working with it and testing the waters. I am using the Silhouette to cut out letters for a banner. 

*Shine like Glitter*

I did not shine like glitter through this whole process. When working on something new and figuring out how it works is not always easy, it does get frustrating. And oh boy was I frustrated. Making the

decor took much longer than I had anticipated. I did do a lot of it by hand which played into my frustration but I am still working on how to use the Silhouette. I know once I have down how to use it the whole process will be much easier.
