After breakfast we all pilled back into our said vehicles and headed out for our next destination; Kingwood Center. Kingwood Center is located in Mansfield, OH. There is a mansion, which was built for Mr. and Mrs. Charles Kelley King in 1926. This mansion houses 42-acres of land, most covered in the Center's gardens. After Mr. Kings death the mansion and gardens were left to the private foundation which continues to operate the Kingwood Center today.
Now you are in for a long stream of pictures. So find yourself a comfortable spot and a cup-a something good and get ready.
At the back of the Greenhouse, which is what this building is, there is a garden shop.
Rosemary, my favorite!
I want to do a potted plant with lavender and lemon verbena. I believe it would smell heavenly.
A lady painting in the garden. How fun?!
Welcome to the tea garden.
For all you dads out there, in honor of Father's Day tomorrow! One dad in particular, love you dad!
Love you mom!
Back in the Greenhouse we saw beautiful succulents and cacti.
Aloe.
Succulents.
Venus Fly Trap.
I bought one of these air plants, mine has pink tips though. I was told this means that the air plant is about to bloom. I also bought a tropical plant. The sales lady told me that the air plant and this plant are cousins.
My favorite, Hibiscus.
Mature air plants.
Another one of favorites, Peace Lily.
Why hello there Mr. Bumblebee.
At lunch we were told a story about the bumblebee by our assistant director. It was a beautiful quote. I'm going to share it with you:
According to the laws of aerodynamics, the bumblebee should not be able to fly.
Because of it's size and shape.
But the bumblebee doesn't know anything about the laws of aerodynamics.
So it goes on flying anyways.
Our faith in God will continue to carry us through.
Because if he can allow a bumblebee to fly, he can allow us to fly.
We followed a path that led us, eventually, to the Kingwood Mansion.
It's this just a beautiful view?!
Welcome to Kingwood Mansion, my new home. There's three floors, about 15 rooms, an elevator, and a receptionist. Let me take you for a tour inside.
Man entry chandelier.
This is the dining room. The view from this room was breath taking. This is where I will eat Sunday brunch and sip my mimosas.
It looks good on me already, doesn't it?
It did not have many rooms for us to venture into and the whole third floor was roped off, a little disappointing.
Duck, duck, goose?!
We left Kingwood Center and headed to lunch at The Blueberry Patch. This little cafe, shop, and winery houses a beautiful garden front porch. I instantly found a plant holder for my new air plant. But without picking it up I headed inside to see what other goodies I could find. Finally it was time for lunch. I am so mad at myself because I took a Snapchat of my lunch but forgot to take a picture. I wish I could show it to you because it was so good. I chose chicken salad on a bed of chopped romaine, a pea salad, and lemon blueberry bread; which was just delightful; and blueberry iced tea.

Overall what a wonderful day out.
Away from work.
That evening it was National Martini Day.
Of course I had to go out and get a martini, since they are one of my drinks of choice.

Happy Father's Day.
Have a wonderful Sunday.
Sorry I haven't been keeping up with my weekly Yoga poses. Once I get into my new place I'll start it back up again.
Namaste.
Glitterites.
