Holiday Project: Ornament Chandelier

Hello Internet friends today on the blog I will be sharing a holiday project I worked on this past week. It is simple but the finished product looks great... Are you ready?

If you did not guess by the title of this post we are making an ornament chandelier. Keep reading to see how I did mine and how it turned out *grin*

Now let's get started shall we...

First you will need some ornaments... choose whatever ornaments suit your style. I like the traditional holiday colors. I also chose two different size balls with similar patterns, found at Old Time Pottery for fairly cheap.
Then you will need some fishing line to tie up the ornaments or some fancy ribbon. I used fishing line because I had it laying around from ornaments we hang in the trees at my parents house.
Scissors
Ornament hooks... now I used these to tie the fishing line around (picture below) so I could just hook those to the fan.

*There is no wrong way to do this project so get creative with it!!

Tie all of the ornaments you are going to use with your fishing line or ribbon using varying lengths; this will give your chandelier some depth.

Now I started out tying all of the strings to different hooks and this just got way too crowded so I ended up tying them all to one hook.

I grouped my ornaments into three separate groups... 3 medium sized balls in red, green, and gold and 3 small sized balls in red, green, and gold and once again this was for crowd control *grin* I wanted the balls to have some space so they weren't all just piled one on top of the other.

Then you just hook the hooks around the lights from your fan or chandelier... I have a fan hanging over my kitchen table so I hooked one bunch onto three separate lights... then just let the ornaments hang.

I love the way this turned out. It adds to my overall decor of my apartment... which I promise to post in the near future *wink*

*Real Talk*
I am all about the traditional color scheme when it comes to Christmas but like I mentioned before feel free to get creative with your project. There is no wrong way of doing it. I just wanted to share with you all how I created mine.
I am happy with the way it turned out.
If you have already done one of these or end up creating one I would love to see it so share them with me either in the comments below or on IG with the hashtag  #letsbeChristmascrafty
